Job Title: Content Writer
Reports To: Lead Content

Summary:
This position is primarily responsible for fulfilling directives and
tasks assigned by the Lead Content Writer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties
may be assigned.
This
position is primarily responsible for creating product descriptions for
new products. Must be able to research the product and then communicate
the product’s features and benefits in a way that is readable not only
to people, but to search engines as well. Research keywords to ensure
the proper terms are being targeted. Help write and maintain the
company blog, newsletter, and social media pages.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience:
Associate's
degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school;
or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or
equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills:
Ability
to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals,
professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental
regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and
procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and
respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and
the general public.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add,
subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole
numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate,
ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability
to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished
in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems
involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
To
perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of
Database software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word
Processing software.
