The Holmes HAPF30D Replacement HEPA Filter (2 Pack) removes up to 99% of airborne dust and pollen, in addition to reducing pet dander, smoke and mold spores. Arm and Hammer baking soda is used in the filter to absorb and eliminate household odors that would otherwise recirculate in your air system. The HAPF30-D should be changed at least once per year for optimum performance.
This is a true HEPA filter and a genuine Holmes product. Also known as HAPF30DPDQU or 104193.

Holmes HEPA HAPF30D filter

The Holmes HEPA systems work good, especially if you are trying to control air quality for allergies, but I do question the only changing it once a year. Holmes only claims that these filters will operate efficiently for 3-6 months. If you live in a dusty area, plan on 3 months max. Also, you probably can skip buying extra of the 'foam pre-filters'. They are washable with soap and water. You can't wash or re-use the HEPA filters.
