NOTE: The Filmtec BW30-4040 Brackish Reverse Osmosis Membrane is discontinued and no longer available.

The Filmtec BW30-4040 Brackish Reverse Osmosis Membrane is an excellent choice to use in many brands of industrial reverse osmosis water filtration systems. The membrane is constructed of Polyamide thin-film composite with a hard shell exterior. The Filmtec BW30-4040 Membrane 2400 GPD is recommended for systems with multiple-element housings containing three or more membranes. They are designed to withstand higher pressure drops. This industrial reverse osmosis membrane is also known as part number BW30-4040, Dow Filmtec part number 80783 and Dow Filmtec BW30-4040.

Filmtec BW30-4040 Brackish RO Membrane Specifications:

To lessen the impact of fouling, the Dow Filmtec BW30-4040 Membrane features the thickest feed spacer. It is designed to withstand higher pressure drops, while providing consistent and exceptional system performance. For the most effective cleaning, the Filmtec BW30-4040 Membrane may be cleaned over a pH range of pH 1 to 13. Dow Filmtec recommends that you use a TDS Meter to monitor the Total Dissolved Solids before and after the BW30-4040 Reverse Osmosis Membrane is installed. A Digital RO Tank Pressure Gauge will monitor the tank pressure.

Using the proper start-up procedure for reverse osmosis water systems is crucial when preparing the BW30-4040 membrane for operating, plus preventing damage to the membrane, due to overfeeding or hydraulic shock. Before start-up procedures are initiated, system checks should be conducted, such as membrane pretreatment, instrument calibration and loading of the membrane elements. Following the proper start-up sequence ensures that your system operating parameters will meet design Specifications for optimum water quality and productivity. You must accurately follow operating limits and guideless to prevent voiding the warranty.
