The Hydronix 20" Big Blue Pleated Filter is an economical replacement for the Liquatec SPF-45-2020. Also known as part number SPC-45-2020, this Big Blue filter is resistant to bacteria and chemicals. It effectively reduces waterborne particles and contaminants like rust, sediment, sand and silt. The media of this sediment filter is pleated around a polypropylene core for added strength and the ends are immersed in a thermo setting vinyl plastisol. Embedding and sealing each end of the pleat in this fashion fuses the three components together forming a unified end cap and gasket.
In addition to replacing the Liquatec SPF-45-2020, this Hydronix 20" sediment filter also replaces the Pentek 255495-43 and Watts FM-BB-20-20. This 20 micron filter is durable, washable, reusable and has a temperature capacity ranging from 40 degrees to 125 degrees Fahrenheit (4.4 to 51.7 degrees Celsius). Made from durable non-woven polyester, this sediment cartridge is an economical solution for a variety of industrial, commercial and residential applications. The polypropylene core has high dirt holding capacity that extends the time between filter replacements.
