The Katadyn Combi Water Microfilter System uses a two stage filter comprised of activated carbon and ceramic to remove microorganisms and disease causing agents like virus carrying particles, bacteria, cysts, protozoa, algae, spores, sediment and some chemicals. The ceramic element in the Combi Microfilter also filters turbid, cloudy water.
Now you can drink safely from streams, rivers and lakes, and the Katadyn Combi will remove organisms that cause such diseases as cholera, dysentery, typhoid fever and giardia.
Katadyn microfilters have been used by the US military, international militaries and by relief agencies like the Red Cross, which use Katadyn filters in emergency situations where clean drinking water is scarce.
