The Whirlpool Ice Maker Shut Off Arm 627792 is the replacement shut off arm for the Whirlpool 4317943 Icemaker, which no longer includes a shut off arm, since top-bottom fridges (freezer on top) require a different shut off arm than side-by-side refrigerators.

If you are buying a new icemaker or replacing an old one and cannot reuse your existing icemaker, you'll need to buy one of the following icemaker shut off arms:

  • Top-bottom fridges require Whirlpool Ice Maker Shut Off Arm 627792
  • Side-by-Side fridges require Whirlpool Ice Maker Shut Off Arm 627913 (Whirlpool 2304354).

The Whirlpool 627792 is a genuine Whirlpool part. The Whirlpool 4317943 Ice Maker is used in refrigerators made by Whirlpool, Roper, Kitchenaid, Amana, and Kenmore. The 4317943 Whirlpool Ice Maker will not work on GE and Hotpoint refrigerators.
