The Pentek WP.5BB97P String Wound PolyPropylene Filter is the affordable solution for reducing fine sand, dirt, rust, scale, and sediment particles from your water. Also known as part number 355212-43.

This filter is constructed of durable polypropylene string that is wound tightly around a solid polypropylene core for maximum efficiency and filtration.

The WP.5BB-97P specifications:

    After trying to clear up our rusty water with every adjustment possible on our softener. I tried a 10' carbon block .5 Micron filter, as our refer water with this type of filter had always stayed clear. The carbon block filter made our water wonderful for 10 days before it clogged and needed replaced. At 60 dollars apiece I couldn't afford to continue with these. I decided to try the wound poly type for 15 bucks each. These things are awesome and last 2 months each. With a 1 Micron prefilter I bet they'd last longer, and that's our next step, but for now our water is great and we're so pleased with these filters and Filtersfast.
