Job Title: Warehouse Packer/Printer
Reports To: Warehouse Manager Non-Exempt
Summary:
This
position is primarily responsible for ensuring quality and accuracy in
printing and packaging of customer orders by performing the following
duties personally or through subordinates.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties
may be assigned.
Matches
items pulled to invoice to ensure quantities and items are correct,
package items in appropriate box or boxes to ensure easy transit,
quality and durability.
Uses appropriate amount of packaging
materials in box, includes a magnet in all orders being shipped, double
wrap any items easily broken such as ceramic filters, process paperwork
for all international orders, mark through any old labels when re-using
a box, make boxes for your station.
Keeps your station tidy
and free of food and drink, inform warehouse manager when running low
on boxes or packaging materials. Follow the rotation for moving boxes
from the end of the conveyer to pallet for shipping. This includes
sorting FedEx and priority mail and putting them into the appropriate
receptacles or pallets.
Alerts Warehouse Manager to any
technical difficulties with your computer or with particular shipping
addresses, match shipping label to invoice, print express orders as
assigned, and attend department meetings, special projects as assigned
by Warehouse Manager.

Education and/or Experience:
Less
than high school education; or up to one month related experience or
training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills:
Ability
to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and
memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively
present information in one-on-one and small group situations to
customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability
to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using
whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate,
ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability
to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but
uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems
involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
Ability to successfully master computer software related to your
specific job as well as the time card software.

performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required

The employee must regularly lift and/or move
from 10 pounds to up 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50
pounds and occasionally lift and/or move from 100 pounds to more than

boxes that exceed 50+ pounds in order to prevent injury.
