I just changed the smart filter on my GE refrigerator 2 months ago, yet the filter light has come on the refrigerator. We also have a water conditioner in the home. Why would the filter light come on after just 2 months? Do I need to replace the filter already? The manufacturer recommends the filter be changed every 6 months.
