Was the ice maker making ice before the filter change? It could be a number of different things. The water valve in the back of the refrigerator may have gone bad, or the ice maker unit itself may have gone bad. Those parts can be replaced (part numbers are below). A water line could be frozen which can happen, but is not a common issue. Consider a technician if you are unable to locate the problem.

Hi Pat,
Flush the filter for 2 minutes. There will be a gap of water flow due to the air that was in the filter. Once the air is pushed out, the water should be allowed to run for another minute or so.

If this does not work, than the water solenoid may not be functioning correctly, and may need to be replaced. It could also be the water in the line may have been frozen if it got too close to the freezer.

Continuous beeping on the dispenser display with two hyphens on the freezer display only, usually means that the freezer temperature is warmer than 10 degrees Fahrenheit. If the temperature is okay, then there is likely a fault with the rear computer module.

The filter light should be changed from the dispenser. The light will need to be reset accordingly to your model.

If the filter is not turned all of the way to make a seal, or if the O-rings are bad on the filter, it can cause a leak from around the filter.

Be sure that the filter is screwed in snugly (but do not over tighten). If you still notice a leak, remove the new filter and re-install the old filter to see if the leak is present on the old filter now too.

If so, then the filter receiver should be replaced. If it only leaks on the new filter, then the filter is defective.

You can reset the filter light by pressing and holding the filter button for 3 seconds. The status light should then change from red to green (or the status display will change from "Replace" to "Good" when the system has been reset).
If your model has a water filter indicator but does not have a reset button, press the light switch in your refrigerator compartment 5 times within 10 seconds to successfully reset the system. The status light should then change from red to green when the system has been reset.
