Ok there definitely needs to be a disclaimer on how clean or full the fridge started out. It takes me 20 minutes each week to clean out the fridge just for trash day. Washing just 1 shelf well takes about 10 minutes even if nothing spilled on it.

Was the ice maker making ice before the filter change? It could be a number of different things. The water valve in the back of the refrigerator may have gone bad, or the ice maker unit itself may have gone bad. Those parts can be replaced (part numbers are below). A water line could be frozen which can happen, but is not a common issue. Consider a technician if you are unable to locate the problem.
