You don't need to answer all those questions, they have nothing to do with what you're doing.
Just dump the carbon, it is granular, not solid. Sanitize the tank with some bleach and pour any gravel under bedding in and then the carbon and put the 'head' on and reconnect the plumbing.
Then backwash the filter until the water runs clear out the drain line (it will run black to begin with), rinse it and you are done as soon as you sweep the floor.
