Default what is the right filter for odor/sediment

we have a rental on a well where we have iron problem. We installed a Fleck 2510 Pyrolox, which has reduced the iron quite a bit to the suggested maximum of 0.3 mg/l. Now the problem is the odor of sulfur (rotten egg) and sediment. We have been using the Pentek S1-BB Water Filter but I just read that this one is not recommended for use with well water.
Which filter can you recommend for the odor and sediment problem?

Hi S. Beck,

Thanks for the post. The S1-BB is not recommended for well water because it is constructed of cellulose, which certain bacteria attack. Also, the S1-BB is just a sediment filter, not designed to reduce any bad tastes or odors. I would recommend any of the following cartridges for you:

GAC-BB http://www.filtersfast.com/American-...er-filters.asp

AP815 http://www.filtersfast.com/Aqua-Pure...er-filters.asp

NCP-BB http://www.filtersfast.com/Pentek-NC...bon-filter.asp
