Question Sediment filter for small pool

I have a small childs pool (2.5m diamater & 60cm deep). I live in the Middle East and we receive a lot of dust in the air so the filter that came with the pool is inadequate. I have a separate pump I can hook up to the pool to provide water pressure, but now I need to filter the water.

Could you suggest an appropriate sediment filter and cartridge. I was thinking of the Pentek 10' Big Blue housing (Item 150239), but have no idea what cartridge to use. I don't want to remove the chlorine, just the dust.

Also how long does a $3 crtridge last compared to a $16 cartridge?

Thank you for your email. You may use the 10" Big Blue housing that is meant for high capacity depending upon the connection size of your water line leading into the pool. We offer 3/4" inlet: http://www.filtersfast.com/Pentek-10...er-housing.asp, 1" inlet: http://www.filtersfast.com/Pentek-15...er-housing.asp, and 1.5" inlet: http://www.filtersfast.com/Pentek-15...er-housing.asp. You may use any of these filters in any of the housings suggested:

These filters are great for dirt, sand and sediment removal. There are various brands and qualities of filters. Some of the pleated paper filters are more inexpensive but will not remove as much sediment and will need to be replaced more often. The bonded polypropylene and string wound filters that we carry are more efficient at sediment removal. In other words, the type of media as well as the micron rating determine the quality of the filter. The price of the filter is not the only determining factor of quality. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Thank you for choosing Filters Fast!
