Default inline water fiter

I have ordered Pentek 150071 Standard Clear 3/4" Filter Housing with the plan of placing this in the line to a new ice maker I am planning to install in our amana refrigerator. I am assuming I can do this. any ideas about problems I might encounter. The filter has 3/4 " inlet and out let. I suspect the line to the icemaker is smaller and so I will have to reduce the outlet. will the reduced flow reduce he effectiveness of the filter?

Default Inline Filter Answer

Hi!

Quite the contrary...the more contact time the water has with the filter the more effectively the filter works. If you are only using this system to filter the ice and water in your fridge then I believe the set up you have will be more than enough. Hope that answers your question.

Thanks!
