Can I use the 200 filter to replace the R400 water filter for my refrigerator?

The R400 in-line filter can be exchanged for the R200 filter, however, you won't be getting the same quality filtration. The R400 was rated for a 1.0 Micron level, and had been tested to remove chlorine, lead, cysts, and sediment. The R200 is rated for 15 Micron, and had been tested to only remove chlorine.

If you would like an in-line filter with the same filtration level, I would recommend the WaterPik IF-35. This filter is rated at 1.0 Micron, and will remove the same contaminants as the R400.
