    Default Samsung DA2900003A

I have a Samsung RF26xaers refrigerator. I ordered and installed a Samsung DA2900003A filter. I cannot reset the filter. Did I order the incorrect filter?

    Hello, Fitz!

That is indeed the correct filter. You can use the DA29-00003A, B, or G -- they are all compatible with one another, but will reduce different contaminants.

Also, I came across the following on Samsung's site:

The water filter indicator light is designed to turn orange after five months or 450 gallons, and red after six months or 500 gallons.
To reset the water filter indicator so that the indicator turns green, follow these steps:
    1. Press the Ice Type Button and Child Lock Button simultaneously for 3 seconds. Note: Hold the buttons for only 3 seconds. If you press these 2 buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds, the reset function ceases.
    1. Release the buttons and repeat the same step one more time. The water filter indicator light should turn green.
Note: Does not apply to RFG299 model.
For 2010 SIde By SIde models, press and hold the WATER button on the display panel
Let us know if you're unable to reset your filter.
    Thanks,
    Daniel

Hi, friend its a nice information about water filtering, i like to sharing my thinking about water filter. There are many different types of water filters so we already know there are several ways for installing. Pitchers require no installation; whole house systems require a professional. But most of the systems are designed to install with just the basic hand tools.
    Thanks
