RO system - Do I still need refrigerator filter?

I have an RO system that runs to my sink tap and to my fridge for water and ice.

My fridge filter is now 1 year old.
Do I even need this filter if I am using RO water?

No, you don't need the filter in the fridge anymore. It will actually do more harm than good. If it's as new as you say then it probably has a built in by-pass so all you do is pull the filter out.
