Were you looking to find a new softener, or look at the models that you currently use mentioned above?
The ones I already have. the 1500 may need a new gear, the 7000 is fine, just needs to be configured properly.
In the 1500 parts, look up the parts needed for the Fleck 2510, about the only thing that really has changed is the timer assembly.
What new gear are you talking about?
Not sure which gear. It get stuck during the re-gen from time to time and have to turn the dial manually for it to move on.. assuming the problem is with the gear some where?!?
The timer assembly has a wheel with pins and spaces, that controls switches that then controls the drive motor for the piston. The switches can go bad , or there is gear in the timer assembly that can ware or develop a spot that holds the rotation up ..
Do you have a book on the unit in question?
yes I have the manual
And is the manual of any help ? or are you looking for some one to help walk you through the steps of trouble shooting the thing?
looking for some one who is familiar with both systems and help to get them to work right.
There should be an independent dealer in your area that can trouble shoot your system and get things running correctly.
There is no reason for the 1500 to be retired as it can still be fixed.
Just let them know that you are wishing to fix and not replace.
Granted that will cost a few coin, or you can pay your self by trouble shooting and fixing it your self.
