I need a small portable filter to remove salts from hose water. I just purchased a garden fountain that uses about 5 gallons of water a week. Evidently the salts stain the fountain. I'm going broke filling it with Distilled water. Any ideas? Thanks

Are you sure it is salt and not calcium? Get an RO. An RO will remove either but get an acurate water test first. Never buy equipment for water treatment until you understand what it is in your water are are attempting to treat.

There are alot of products available in the market both for filtering and also water treatment. However you have to know what is your water as said above. Till then you can try cleaning fountain with warm vinegar to remove the stains
