Hello
I am new to the forums here.
So I am looking to add a water softener and filter system to the house.
We had some Ionics rep come by and test our water (dont have the reports handy) but basically he says our tap water is moderately hard, with chlorine.
So his system is like $7000 and theres not way I am spending that kind of money.
I went to home depot and they carry this:

I did try a search and couldnt find any posts on it.
Its about $580s. I found a local plumber who worked for RainSoft for several years (is now independent) who would install it for $200. He did speak highly of it and says hes installed many and never had any major problems with the GE units.

Does anyone here have any experience with this product?
Any information would be helpful
