Topic: Need Chlorine Filtration Recommendation
Yes, I need a recommendation for a whole house chlorine filter. I need a good filtration for the chemical (chlorine) itself, not just taste and odor.
I am allergic to chlorine and other chemicals and, I would like to reduce/remove it from all the house water.
I am open for any recommendation of any filter (as long as it works!). However, I would prefer a filter system that is cost effective with long filter life.
PS: Is there greater reduction of chlorine and chemicals with the carbon block compared to granulated carbon?
What are the benefits of carbon block compared to granulated carbon?

As for your question about carbon block vs activated carbon there is a difference there. Activated Carbon is mostly designed for Chlorine & Taste and Odor Removal. Carbon Block will remove these things as well as smaller contaminants (usually on a sub micron level) ie. cysts, VOC's, ect. Normally you would use an activated carbon whole house filter and then put a carbon block at the point of use, however, if it is just you in the home you may be able to get away with a carbon block on the whole house.
