Default Two 10" filters instead of one 20"

I have a whole house filter that uses a 20" sediment and a 20" carbon filter. Can I substitute two 10" filters for the 20" filters? I ask because the 20" filters appear to be almost 4 times as expensive.

    Thanks.

You,s you can put two 10"ers in but you will need a special filter connector which are available...maybe on this web site. Make sure the carbon filters are radial and not flow through types.

    Default Filter connectors

Thanks for the reply. Does a filter connector attach two carbon filters stacked on top of each other and create a virtual 20" filter?

Yes, either carbon block or sediment filters. GAC carbon filters won't work with these.

I tried to find them on this site but you may have to ask the moderators.
