    Default Filter Locations ?

I recently moved my whole house filter system from underneath my house's crawl space to the garage in order to not have to crawl under the house every 5 weeks or so to change the filters !! (been doing this for 11 years !! )
I did NOT pay a lot of attention to the heighth location of the filters that go before and after an additional Wellmate Pressure tank that was installed to allow the escape of sulfer smelling gases... and I need to know if it makes any difference on the heighth location of the pre-filter before the "pressure" tank and the large canister Carbon filter after the "pressure" tank.
My reason for asking is, that I installed a "clear" pre-filter canister before the "pressure" tank and have noticed that frequently, all of the water in the pre-filter canister is drawn out completely or is at a very low level ? Is that proper ?
Having said all this, here is my setup from a heighth standpoint...
The pre-filter canister is about half-way from the bottom of the "pressure" tank.
The large carbon canister located after the "pressure" tank is about even with the top of the "pressure" tank.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Padge

    Hi Padge,

I know this is not going to be of much help to you but it sounds like you might need a professional to come out and have a look. There are too many variables to be considered here for me to comment on a system I have never seen or know anything about.

If this is not a viable option for you I would suggest that if you aren't having any issues with your water pressure, odors, or sediment in your water since you moved the system you should be ok. The only way to know for sure if the system is living up to what it promises to take out as far as "unseen" contaminants are concerned, would be to have your water tested.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
