Whirlpool Air Purifier 450

I have used the model 450 for over ten years and have been very pleased with it's performance. It discharges the air from the rear of the topside in a direction that is angled to the left. This left-hand direction makes a nice counter-clockwise airflow circulation in the room that is very comfortable to be in. The sound level is a soft whisper that is not noticeable in normal daytime activity (I use it in an office environment with people talking and using their computers at work... perfect for this use. Keeps the air cleaner for minimal dust on the computer keyboards & screens also.). At night in a bedroom for example, it would help mask outside sounds with a nice 'whisper' sound that is pleasant.
Sometimes there are outside smells (eg: leaf smoke in the fall, general dust & etc.) that come-in when the doors are opened that this filter removes quite well. If the outside smoke/dust smells are stronger than acceptable, running the unit on high for a short period of time seems to take care of the problem, after which returning to the low speed / air flow for the soft whisper sound works well. People with allergies like being around it...they can breath easier and usually want to know where they can buy one of these units.
