Agree with other positive reviews, this does an excellent job at keeping debris out of home water lines. I replace every 2-3 months and the amount of material that I see trapped in the filter is staggering. Nice product, especially for the trivial price.

Excellent filter for whole house system. Stopped rusty water in toilet and ruined laundry from rusty water. I even have a softener on the well.

I also live in a house with well water. We installed a Whirlpool filter and then could not find replacement filters locally. Was happy to find this filter. Works great will let you know when it is time to replace because there is a VERY noticeablly diminished water pressure.

Moved into a home with well water. It had the Waterpik Instapure IR-20 filter. Waterpik told me they discontinued the IR-20 and offered NO HELP for a replacement or advice on a different filter system. So happy I found this replacement because this filter works great and completely filters iron taste, etc. out of the well water. I change the filter monthly instead of once every two months, but well worth the money.
