After trying to clear up our rusty water with every adjustment possible on our softener. I tried a 10' carbon block .5 Micron filter, as our refer water with this type of filter had always stayed clear. The carbon block filter made our water wonderful for 10 days before it clogged and needed replaced. At 60 dollars apiece I couldn't afford to continue with these. I decided to try the wound poly type for 15 bucks each. These things are awesome and last 2 months each. With a 1 Micron prefilter I bet they'd last longer, and that's our next step, but for now our water is great and we're so pleased with these filters and Filtersfast.
