Does a great job of removing rust. I bought two units so I can swap out filters easily. Only part I don't like: it's not easy to turn the bypass knob, and it leaks after a few months. Easy fix, add shut off valves before and after the filter. I can swap filters in seconds. Not easy to find O-rings either. One part I REALLY like, I can see how dirty the filter is or isn't, something you can't do with some filter units
