Short lived

My experience with 4 of these filters is that they have about half the life of the Maytag filters. That makes them very expensive.
No problems with them coming loose or leaking.

Close, but not exact
Steve - N.VA (Friday, April 25, 2008)
I thought I'd save a few bucks and get the Brita MYRF-100 instead of the Maytag UKF7003AXX filter, they claim it is compatible, and fo the most part, it is. It fits just fine, and seems to work just fine, but it is missing the little locking tabs on the screw in part. The Maytag filter locks into place, the Brita just goes in until it stops turning. So far it hasn't come loose, and seems fine, but I wish it had the lock tabs.
