Hydrotech Carbon Water Softener 2415-HMST20
Hydrotech 2415

The Hydrotech Carbon Water Softener 2415-HMST20 removes water hardness developed when moisture falls and passes through our smog and dust-laden atmospheres before reaching the ground. Further water contamination occurs when water seeps through soil where it gathers rust and acid that can exacerbate hardness issues while also contributing to unpleasant tastes and odors. Hardness in the water is eliminated by trading hard ions in the water with sodium ions. Sodium stays dissolved in water and does not form a scale. Sodium also does not interfere with the cleaning action of soaps. While not possible to correct corrosive problems found in water using a softener, the system can correct four common types of iron exhibited in water supplies: Dissolved Iron, particulate iron, organic bound iron and bacterial iron. This system features a self-regeneration system in the form of a brine and salt tank to replenish the sodium content. The water softener can operate for days before running out of sodium, and when it does, the sodium is replenished in only a matter of a few hours. The result is softer water originally found in nature with little maintenance.
