Product of the Week: Washing Machine Cleaner

Posted on February 14, 2011 by Selwa Leave a Comment

washing machine cleanerThis week’s featured product might seem a little random for a site that sells air and water filters, and that’s exactly why we chose it. Perhaps many of you were unaware that we carry washing machine cleaner. My husband and I recently moved into an apartment and have noticed some new stains on our clothing since using the washer and dryer set that were given to us for free. This is a product that we could definitely use, and one I wish I had known about sooner. If you’re wondering how to clean your washing machine, Summit has the answer.

Summit Washer Magic washing machine cleaner is used to clean out the drum of your washing machine, removing dirt, rust, lime, sediment, old detergent build up and odor-causing residues. It can also be used to clean the rubber seal around the door and the detergent drawer. This cleaner works to extend the life of your washing machine and can also help your clothes last longer, since clean washing machines are more gentle on clothing.

Perhaps you’ve heard of the more popular Affresh washing machine cleaner? We thought you might be interested in one customer review comparing Affresh with Summit:

This stuff is the BEST!!!! My Maytag front load washer smelled like mildew and I had black mildew built up on my rubber seal. When I washed white clothes I had black specks on them. I have used Affresh and it did not help. No one tells you about this problem when you purchase a front loader. My husband was the first one to notice the smell. I saw Washer Magic at Lowes and thought I would try it (better price than Affresh) I did as it said on the bottle and wiped my rubber seal with it then used the whole bottle in my machine on Normal Wash cycle/hot water. What an improvement. I used it last week and am going to run another bottle through my washer today when I am finished doing laundry. I am so glad to find this product. Thank you Summit!!!

This review can also be found on our site, directly below the product description for the Summit cleaner. If you’ve noticed a weird smell or stains on your clothing lately, for only $6 a bottle, Summit Washer Magic is at least worth a shot.
