Do I need to replace fridge water filter?

Hi

I have a Samsung American style fridge which dispenses ice and water. Recently the water filter light came on indicating that I need to replace the water filter. I have looked online to see how much they are. They are in the region of ?30 which was a big shock! The question is should I replace the fridge water filter or can I just keep drinking the water as it is through the old filter? I am not overly concerned with having filtered water (the water in my area is fine) and the only reason I drink water from the fridge is because it is cold.

Hello David,

You do not need to change the filter is every 6 months but after a while the water pressure will decrease and then you will have to change the filter.
