This MERV 8 filter should be cleaned or replaced once a year. Also known as part number 4510, a clean AprilAire 1700 and 1710A Dehumidifier Filter Replacement will allow your dehumidifier to run at full capacity, while preventing damage to the unit. Unplug or disconnect the power to your dehumidifier before removing the filter. Remove the filter access door located on the side of the unit to remove the replacement filter.
The AprilAire 4510 Filter Replacement can be cleaned by flushing it with warm water and a mild detergent solution. Before reinstalling your filter in the dehumidifier, allow it to completely dry. Reinsert your new or cleaned replacement filter. Replace the filter access door, then reconnect the power to turn the dehumidifier on.
