The Trion Air Bear 259112-102 Supreme 2000 Filter 20x25x5 is a whole house air filter with a MERV 11 rating that captures 90% of particles that are between 3 to 10 microns in size. This air bear filter boasts efficient synthetic material that contains extended-surface pleats proven to have higher dirt-holding capacity than the competition.

With its MERV 11 rating this furnace filter, also known as the 259112-102, can effectively remove mold, spores, pollen, and other airborne contaminants and is an upgrade over MERV 8 Trion filters. This whole house filter is highly efficient and energy reducing.

I've been buying these for several years and was always satisfied. This time the quality was poor. The pleats in the filters were not evenly spaced when the adhesive-coated paper grids were applied, so I have bunched-up and stretched-out pleats, reducing the effectiveness of the filtration. I estimate the effective filter area is about 20-30% reduced. Pleats cannot be evened out without breaking all the glued points of contact with the grid. Photo shows the new filter above vs. the one I am replacing below. I have requested a replacement.

Perfect airtight fit with the top and bottom foam gaskets on the filter. Not all AIR Bear filters have the gasket seals on the filters which allows dust particles pass by the filter which defeats the purpose. Thank you FiltersFast for supplying a quality filter!
