The Omnipure K5540-JJ GAC filter can be used as an inline filter with most refrigerators, icemakers, water dispensers, undersink systems, and more, but is also commonly used as a filter in certain reverse osmosis systems. The K5540JJ coconut carbon filter installs easily - it requires no tools due to the Quick Connect fittings which are built into the filter body to reduce the chance of leaks.

My husband and I travel year-round in an RV. We noticed the water in many of the RV camps was not up to par for drinking. In December 2015 my husband installed an additional filter under our kitchen sink using the omnifilter K 5440. Since then our water has been fantastic. We use the water constantly for drinking, coffee making and for making ice in our countertop ice maker. Even in locations where the water would be almost undrinkable the filter makes it so that we can use it. I highly recommend this filter and will continue buying it myself as long as it's made.
