It replaces part number 4392922 and Whirlpool has impoved on 4392922 with this filter by removing additional impurities from your water.
Whirlpool Refrigerator Water Filter 4396510 Reduces bad taste, odor, lime scale buildup, cysts, chlorine, dirt and rust in your water and ice.
The 4396510 is the best water filter available for Whirlpool side by side refrigerators and removes much more than the 4396508. Specifications:
- Flow Rate: .5 GPM
- Temp Range: 33 - 100 F
- Pressure Range: 30 - 120 psi

This filter does an excellent job of filtering chlorine. My tap water has a 1.5 Chlorine reading on my pool test kit. The water that goes through the filter shows NO chlorine! And, the water tastes much better. I highly recommend this filter.
