The Culligan, Ametek CW-F, American Plumber W5W string wound polypropylene whole house filter is designed to reduce extra fine sand, dirt, silt, rust, and scale particles.

The W5W is economical and effective with well water applications. The W5W is the same and interchangeable with part CW-F by Culligan, Ametek, Pentek, Kleen Plus, Plymouth Products, Bruner and US Filter. Part number 155186. Also fits Ametek, Master Plumber housing # 583328.

The American Plumber W5W, Culligan, Ametek, Pentek CW-F water filter needs to be changed every 3 months or 12,000 gallons based on water quality and usage.

Please note that the Pentek CW-F is a 10 micron filter and the W5W is actually a 5 micron filter, but the two filters are interchangeable.
