The SDF-45-1005 Sediment Filter is a 4 stage polypropylene sediment filter with a high dirt holding capacity from Liquatec. The SDF451005 is economically priced and comparable to the Pentek DGD-5005. Can be used as a replacement for Whirlpool filter WHKF-DWHBB, WHKFDWHBB.
The SDF-45-1005 is constructed so that water flows through the following for stages of filtration from outside to inside:
1st Stage: 50 Micron
2nd Stage: 25 Micron
3rd Stage: 10 Micron
4th Stage: 5 Micron
The SDF45-1005 features high efficiency and low pressure drop. This filter is NSF/ANSI tested for material requirements only.
The SDF-45-1005 Specifications:

- Dimensions: 4.5" x 10"
- Flow Rate: up to 10 GPM
- Removes : Dirt, Rust, Sand, Sediment, Silt
The SDF-45-1005 will fit in Pentek, Ametek, US Filter, Culligan, American Plumber and other brand housings that require a 10" Big Blue Filter Cartridge. This filter should be changed every 6 months to 1 year depending on water quality and usage.

Used this as a whole house filter from a well before the softner change it every 6 months no pressure drop noticed filter works really well

I use this filter to remove iron and sediment between an initial aeration tank and in front of a mineral media iron filtration tank. The filter lasts much longer than string and paper filters. Purchased 2 to start, then purchased enough for two years I was so pleased with the results.
