The OmniFilter RS2-DS 2 Pack Whole House String Wound Filters reduces dirt and sand sediment and rust particles from your water. The OmniFilter RS2-DS can be used in Omni whole house models, OT32 Series A UnderSink filter system and as Whirpool WHCF-WHSW. The RS2-DS can also replace Keystone W5 Filter.
There are two RS2 filters in each pack, so this package is good for 30,000 gallons of use.

RS2-Omnifilter String Filter

We bought the 2-pack of Omnifilter RS2-DS2 filters about 3 months ago for our new home. Because installation appeared intimidating, I avoided tackling the job until about 8:45 p.m. one evening. Lo and behold, I had the filter cover off, old filter out, cleaned the plastic housing with bottled water 'cause main valve to house was, of course, shut off, removed old O-ring/greased & installed new O-ring, inserted new filter & put unit back together in no more than about ten minutes!
As advide (& if applicable on your particular model), make sure you turn filter to the OFF position as you remove plastic housing for filter so you don't get water on floor like I did. No problem since it was a small amount but if I'd followed instructions to the letter I wouldn't have lost a drop of the precious stuff!
