The Culligan Big Blue Sediment Filter R50-BBS, R50-BB is used to reduce sediment from your drinking water. The Culligan R50 is the replacement filter for the Culligan HD-950 Big Blue Filter Housing. Also known as the Culligan R50-BBS, this genuine Culligan filter is compatible with the Pentek R50-BB, Omnifilter RS6 and any of the R50-BB filters made by American Plumber, US Filter or Ametek. In addition to fitting the Culligan HD-950, this Big Blue Water Filter will also fit all of Pentek 10 inch Big Blue Filter Housings.
Culligan classifies the R50 water filter as a Level 1 filtration product, meaning it offers basic filtration of coarse sediment particles like rust, dirt, scale, and coarse sand. The pleated media gives the filter a high dirt holding capacity, while still allowing for a high flow rate. The R50 and other Culligan Big Blue filters are ideal for whole house filtration applications. Because the Culligan R50-BBSa contains no cellulose, it can resist bacterial and chemical attacks, making it a popular filter for well water filtration.
