The GeneralAire 570A is the ideal for the following mounting applications:
The GeneralAire 570A 24 Volt Auto 12 GPD Humidifier is engineered to provide trouble-free humidification and can be mounted on the warm or return air plenum with equal efficiency. GeneralAire is known by the following spelling variations: GeneralAir, General Aire and General Air. Also known as part number 5710, this General Aire Automatic Bypass Humidifier should not be installed where the temperature falls below 32 degrees Fahrenheit or if the plenum temperatures exceed 150 degrees Fahrenheit.
Do not set relative humidity too high on your General Aire Bypass Humidifier during the cold weather, because excessive humidity could create condensation on walls or windows. Set the control knob on your humidistat to the desired level of humidification. Leave the knob on your humidifier in the "Hi" or "Winter" position. If you are using a furnace for summer cooling and ventilation, be sure to set the air damper on "Low" or "Summer."
GeneralAire 570A Bypass Humidifier specifications:
The operating principle of the General Aire 570A Automatic Bypass Humidifier is based on the most efficient and economical means of evaporating water to your air. Moisture that evaporates into the air passes through the humidifier evaporator pad. Minerals are not blown into the air stream compared to other atomizing humidifiers. At the end of each season, be sure to thoroughly clean your GeneralAire for optimum performance. The furnace generates the heat necessary for the water to evaporate. The water supply is controlled by the electric solenoid valve. The humidistat connects with the solenoid valve to provide low voltage control.
