Hayward SwimClear Filter Cartridge Compatible

The Filbur FC-1275 is a compatible pool filter with the popular Hayward SwimClear Filter Cartridge (Hayward C4520), as well as the Hayward Super Star Clear pool filter (Hayward C4500). In addition to these Hayward pool filters, the Filbur FC-1275 also replaces the OEM CX875-RE pool filter, Unicel C-7489 pool filter (Unicel C7489) and the Pleatco PA112 pool filter.

Please note that four filters are required for Hayward SwimClear and Hayward Super Star Clear applications. The price listed is for one filter.

Filbur Pool and Spa filters are made of Reemay spunbound polyester pleated filter media with thermally-bonded polyurethane caps and punched PVC pipe cores ensuring durability and consistent flow.

Hayward Swim Clear C4520 / Hayward Super Star Clear C4500 filter cartridge specifications:

This pool filter compatible is also known as the Hayward CX 875.

Cleaning your Filbur Pool and Spa Filters

  • It is time to clean your pool filter cartridges when you notice a decrease in the pressure from your jets, or when the pressure in your filter tank increases by 8 psi from when the filter was newly installed.
  • In order to clean the pool filter, first remove it from its canister and use a garden hose to dislodge any debris between the pleats. Soak the pool filter in commercially prepared filter cleaner, or spray with the same to remove organic material and oils. To remove stains soak overnight in a solution of one quart bleach and 5 gallons water.
  • Thoroughly rinse the pool filter cartridge with fresh water and reinstall it into the canister. Be sure to follow manufacturer's directions for installing the filter.
  • DO NOT use a high-pressure car wash wand, a stiff brush or acid wash to clean the pool filter cartridges as these methods can damage the filter media.
