Hydronix 10" Big Blue Pleated Filter is the same quality filter as the Liquatec SPF-45-1010. The Hydronix sediment water filter is constructed from durable non-woven polyester that is resistant to chemicals and bacteria. This filter reduces particles as small as 10 microns. The polypropylene core is surrounded by a pleated media and has a high dirt holding capacity that extends the time between filter replacements. The Big Blue sediment filter reduces waterborne contaminants such as rust, sand, sediment and silt.
Also known as part number SPC-45-1010, this pleated water filter has a flow rate of 30 gallons per minute. This superior pleated filter is suitable for using in a variety of residential, industrial and commercial applications. The pleated media around a polypropylene core adds strength and the ends are immersed in a thermo setting vinyl plastisol. Embedding and sealing each end of the pleat fuses the three components together forming a unified end cap and gasket.

Water that is of unknown quality or microbiologically unsafe should not be used with this pleated sediment filter without proper disinfection. This sediment pleated filter is durable, washable and reusable. The temperature capacity ranges from 40 degrees to 125 degrees Fahrenheit (4.4 to 51.7 degrees Celsius).
