The Hydronix 20" Big Blue Pleated Filter is an economical replacement for the Liquatec SPF-45-2050 filter. The polypropylene core of this 50 micron filter has high dirt holding capacity that extends the time between filter replacements. The Big Blue pleated filter is resistant to bacteria and chemicals. Made from durable non-woven polyester, this sediment pleated filter effectively reduces waterborne particles and contaminants like rust, silt, sediment and sand.
The media of the Hydronix 20" water filter is pleated around the polypropylene core for additional strength. The ends are immersed in a thermo setting vinyl plastisol. By embedding and sealing each end of the pleat, the three components are fused together to form a unified gasket and end cap. Do not use water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection. This sediment filter is durable, washable and reusable. In addition to replacing the Liquatec SPF-45-2050, this Hydronix 20" sediment filter also replaces the Pentek 255496-43 and Watts FM-BB-50-20.
