The Pentek RO-3000 Reverse Osmosis System is a 3-stage RO system that filters particles as small as 1/1000 of a micron. The first stage is a 5 micron carbon filter (Culligan D-15). This filter screens out sand, sediment, dirt, odor and chlorine taste. For optimum performance, it is recommended to replace this stage 1 filter every 3 months.
The second stage of the filtration process in the Pentek RO-3000 is a carbon drinking filter (Culligan D-20 or D-20A). This filter reduces odor and chlorine taste found in your water. It is recommended to replace this stage 2 carbon drinking filter every 4 months. The D-20 replacement filter is also known as D-20A. Due to a design change, Culligan changed the model number to D-20A.Contaminant reduction with this filter remains the same.
The third stage of this Pentek 3-Stage RO Water Filtration System is the ROM-230T RO Membrane. This process reduces dissolved substances that may be in your water supply like lead and copper. Pentek recommends that you replace this stage 3 reverse osmosis membrane every 2 years.
Pentek RO-3000 System specifications:
