The Pura UV20-2 - 10 GPM UV Filtration - 110v LOC/NC is an ultraviolet system. This UV water system also has a 5 micron sediment filter that acts a pre filter before the UV stage. This UV20-2 system has a lamp out circuit (LOC) that is normally closed which acts as a safety monitor for solenoid shut off.
