The Water Sentinel WSG-1 Refrigerator Filter is a compatible replacement for the GE MWF refrigerator water filter. This water filter fits most GE and Hotpoint Refrigerators that use the GE MWF filter and also replaces part numbers GE GWF, GWF01, GWF06, HXRT, GWFA, FXRT, MWFA, and FXRC, as well as the Hotpoint HWF, Hotpoint HWFA, and Aquafresh WF287. This Water Sentinel filter will also replace the Kenmore 46-9991 / 469991. The WSG-1 can be used with the GWF adapter if needed. Check your existing filter to ensure the WSG-1 is compatible or call us to verify.
The WSG-1 refrigerator water filter also replaces MXRC, FXRT, FXRC, WR97X10006, and 46-9905 / 469905 filters when used with a reusable adaptor. This WaterSentinel WSG-1 refrigerator filter reduces lead, cysts, asbestos, atrazine, lindane, the bad taste and odor of chlorine, sediment, turbidity, and more in your water and ice (see complete list below).

You should replace your WSG-1 refrigerator water filter every six months or more frequently if your water has a bad taste or odor or when its flow rate is reduced.
