Pentek 163007 UV-120-1 Ultraviolet System
UV-120-1
The Pentek 163007 UV-120-1 Ultraviolet System effectively controls microbiological intrusions in potable drinking water without the use of environmentally harmful chemicals. The Pentek Ultraviolet systems use a germicidal dose of ultraviolet light at a wavelength of 254 nanometers to disrupt the reproductive process of harmful microbes.
The Pentek UV-120-1 Ultraviolet System is constructed with one ultraviolet lamp (part number 163512) a durable polypropylene housing and cap, a stainless steel reaction chamber insert sleeve, quartz sleeve to protect the lamp, a voltage regulated control module, 6 foot long power cord, built in steel mounting bracket and comes complete with installation hardware and the housing wrench.
The UV-120-1 uses ultraviolet light only and will not accommodate an actual filter. This system does not filter out sediment, particulates or other contaminates. For best results use in conjunction with a whole house filter.

It is recommended that the quartz sleeve be cleaned every 3 months to ensure maximum exposure of UV light to the water. The UV Bulb should be replaced every 9-12 months. The bulb usually will not burn out in that time, but its efficiency significantly decreases after a year. Never look directly at the lit UV bulb.
