The price of this filter is way to high for just a six month use

Personally I have not used the product. Simply ordered it for the girls in my office.

Easy to install. Does a great job of filtering our high level of calcium in our water among other minerals. Water tastes a lot better.

Stocking of 3M filters at large chains has been irregular the past several years, so it’s worth having an extra on hand to give you time to re-order. But they’re inexpensive and perform excellently against chlorine taste and odor. This filter system has proven effective against most “off” flavors in the water that persist despite chlorination making it safe, including an occasional funk attributed to zebra muscles or seasonal algae blooms in the source lake.

I have complete confidence.with using this filter. Plus it is easy to replace when needed.

Our water has an excessive amount of chlorine added to it and the smell is a bit off putting. I added a filter system to the kitchen faucet and the smell is gone. I would give this product 5 stars all the way around but unfortunately for me the filter only lasts 3 months instead of the listed 6 months and at $40.00 a filter it does become a bit expensive.

If you have high sediments in the water these can cause short life on the very fine (0.5 micron) carbon block - longer life can be obtained by using the higher micron rated filter - same taste just lose the cyst protection or if you want the cyst protection consider using a prefilter in front

We are on a well water system that has a high iron content so twice a year we use hydrogen peroxide in the well and have an iron filter on the main line and this 3M filter on the kitchen faucet. We do get some sediment in the water on the unfiltered faucets but this filtered line effectively provides clean, good tasting water. The filter lasts us about 6 - 7 months. These units do cost more than some other brands, but I like how easy it is to change these filers with minimal water spillage plus the fact they remove parasitic cysts is a bonus.

I live in a condo with just my wife. The water tasted like chlorine from city water supply. The filter has lasted 9 months so far with no change in taste or water flow. The filter reduces the water flow about 20% for us, but it's fine. We had professional install with copper tube under the sink that cost about $100.00.

Does the job.

Water tastes great. I do no see any difference between this filter and the original Filtrete filter that I purchased for the under sink system.
