Faucets

Kitchen faucets deliver water straight to your glass. If you have a water filtration system that is not connected to the main water line of your house, water filter faucets make it easy to enjoy clean water straight from your filtration system. Typically installed next to the main kitchen faucet, filtering faucets are usually smaller and have a single faucet lever.

What are the benefits they provide?

Filtered water faucets are designed to be installed to work with your water filtration system, which means you’ll have guaranteed fresh, filtered water each time from that faucet. Having a dedicated sink faucet for your water filtration system can help encourage hydration and is much better for the environment, reducing the use of single-use plastic bottles.

Water filter taps are all designed differently, but many have a long faucet reach and come with tubing for the faucet.

How do I know which faucet is right for me?

Sink faucets are available in many different designs and finishes and offer multiple functions. These types of faucets are designed for the type of water filtration system you have.

A reverse osmosis faucet is intended to be used with a RO system. R/O faucets are usually available with or without an air gap. To a continual flow of pure water, RO systems contain a membrane filter that must be continually washed. The water that washes the membrane is unusable because it contains the contaminants that the RO membrane captures. A faucet with an air gap will have a wider base and will create a physical siphon break from the RO system and the sink drain and will drop water from one tube into another through the air to prevent any of that wastewater from getting into your system. A faucet without an air gap will send the wastewater from the drain line directly into the sink drain. The main benefit of having a reverse osmosis faucet with an air gap is if your sink drain ever becomes backed up, the air gap will prevent dirty water from going back into your RO unit.

Want hot water instantly? Some water faucets are designed to work with hot water tanks and filtration systems to dispense hot water on the spot.

You’ll want to select the faucet you need based on your needs, style, and compatibility with your water filtration system.

We carry a selection of water filter faucets for RO system faucets and hot water faucets from top brands like InsinkeratorTomilson, and Touch-Flo.
